Some Clouds are full of Rain
There was a deluge here yesterday. Driving around in it with Tornados in the air was to say the least, exciting. Made it safely home with only a drizzle by the time I pulled up out front.
But with clouds you never know and as Amazon et al. found out recently they can certainly rain on your parade. If anyone had any doubts about the reliability of the cloud they were certainly confirmed yesterday; what can and no doubt will, happen.
The cloud is subject to the same kind of problems as your local drive. So, why the cloud you might ask.
Money! The cloud is another “service” model for delivering various packages of media thus creating another revenue stream.
We get redundancy for our “data” and “they” make money. It’s reassuring to know that our cat poems are safe and the photos of Uncle Charlie’s 85th birthday are backed up “somewhere” and too the industry which is digital can afford to keep making all this stuff that keeps us occupied while we’re stuck at the airport or the waiting room.
